Privacy Policy
Short version: Expose does not collect, store or share any of your personal data. Games run offline and nothing is sent to us.
What we collect
Nothing. Expose has no accounts, no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. We do not run any servers, so there is nowhere for your data to go.
What stays on your phone
To remember your profile between games, Expose saves the following on your own device only:
- The display name you choose
- Your avatar choice
- Your app settings
- Simple game stats, such as games played and wins
- A random device ID, so the game can recognise you if you reconnect
- Whether you accepted the house rules, and any players you have blocked
None of this leaves your phone except as described below. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
What is shared during a game
When you join a game, your display name, avatar, answers, votes and chat messages are sent directly to the other phones in the same game, over your local Wi-Fi or hotspot. Nothing is sent over the internet, and answers are not saved after the game ends.
Local network permission
Expose asks to use your local network. That is only used to find nearby games and connect to the phones you are playing with.
Checking for updates
The app never checks for updates on its own. If you tap Check for updates in Settings, your device contacts our update service and sends only the app version and platform needed to answer.
Contacting us
If you email us — through Send feedback, or by reporting content — we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and to act on the report, and we do not share it.
Children
Expose is rated 18+ and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update this page and the effective date above.
