Expose is an offline party game. Everyone answers the same question anonymously, votes for the funniest answer, and then finds out who wrote what.
Need help, or want to report a problem?
We usually reply within 2 working days, and act on reports of objectionable content within 24 hours. Please include your phone model and the app version shown at the bottom of Settings.
How to play
- All players connect to the same Wi-Fi, or to one phone’s hotspot.
- One player taps Create Lobby and shares the code or QR.
- Everyone else taps Join Lobby and enters the code.
- Answer each question. Nobody can see who wrote which answer.
- Vote for the funniest answer. You cannot vote for your own.
- Each vote is a point, and the final round is worth double.
You need at least 2 players, and up to 10 can play.
Common problems
I can’t find the lobby
- Make sure every phone is on the same Wi-Fi network or hotspot.
- On iPhone, allow Local Network access for Expose: Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network.
- Some office, hotel and college networks stop phones seeing each other. Turn on one phone’s hotspot and connect everyone to that instead. No mobile data is used.
- Check the code is typed correctly. Codes are 6 characters.
My phone disconnected during a game
Open Expose again and join with the same code. Your seat and score are kept for 45 seconds.
The host left the game
Another player takes over as host automatically, and the game continues.
The lobby closed by itself
A lobby closes after 10 minutes with no activity. Create a new one and share the new code.
There is no sound
Check Music and Sound effects are on in the app’s Settings, and turn up your phone’s media volume.
Reporting content or a player
Every answer has Report and Block controls. Reporting hides the answer on your device straight away and sends it to us. Blocking hides everything that player writes and stops them joining a game you host. The host can remove any answer from every screen, and you can remove your own answer at any time before the reveal.
We review every report and act within 24 hours.
Does Expose need the internet?
No. Games run entirely over your local Wi-Fi or hotspot. There are no accounts, no sign-up and no ads. The app only uses the internet if you tap Check for updates, or send us an email.
